Hugh Freeze, recently named head coach of the Auburn Tigers, will receive a base salary of $65 million per year, ESPN's Pete Thamel reports.
The six-year deal totals $390 million, making Freeze one of the highest-paid coaches in college football.
The contract also includes various incentives that could increase Freeze's compensation even further.
The terms of the contract were confirmed by multiple sources and are in line with the reported $1 million buyout Freeze had with Liberty, his previous coaching stop.
Freeze is expected to be officially introduced as Auburn's head coach on Friday.
